Voice-first travel journal

Keep the log without lifting a pen.

Captain’s Log turns the voice notes, photos, and places from a family trip into a journal that organizes itself — into Missions you can map, relive, and share. Even with no signal for a hundred miles.

The method

From spoken to sorted, in three beats.

No forms, no fuss. You talk; Captain’s Log does the filing.

01

Speak the moment

Tap once and talk — the overlook, the roadside diner, the wrong turn that became the story.

02

It writes itself

Your voice becomes text, stamped with the time and place. Photos and GPS stops attach on their own.

03

It becomes a Mission

Every entry threads into one trip — a map, a timeline, a journal you’ll actually reread.

Aboard

Everything a voyage leaves behind.

Built around how families actually remember a trip — out loud, in the moment, off the grid.

The reason it’s a log

No signal? No problem.

Offline-first, like a real ship’s log. Capture voice, photos, and your route at sea, in the canyon, deep off-grid — it all syncs once you’re back in range.

Talk, don’t type

Narrate memories hands-free while the moment’s still warm — no thumb-typing at a viewpoint.

Photos in context

Snapshots land next to the words and the place they belong to — not lost in a camera roll.

The whole route, mapped

Passive GPS quietly traces where you went, stop to stop — near-zero battery, drop a pin anytime.

Trips, not a camera roll

Missions gather each journey into one place — a story with a beginning and an end, not 400 loose photos.

Stardate optional

Prefer “Captain’s log, stardate 79341”? Flip it on. Plain dates are the default — we won’t judge either way.

Questions from the dock.

Does it really work with no signal?

Yes — that’s the whole point. Record voice notes, add photos, and trace your route with zero connection. Everything is saved on your device and syncs whenever you’re back in range.

iPhone or Android?

Both. Captain’s Log runs natively on iOS and Android.

Who can see my family’s trips?

Only you, until you choose to share a Mission. Your data stays on your device by default — it isn’t mined or sold.

What does it cost?

Your logbook is free — every Mission, voice note, photo, and route, kept on your phone, with transcription that runs right on your device. When you want it backed up, synced across your devices, turned into AI trip summaries, and shareable as its own web page, a simple plan (around $35 a year) covers it. Either way, your logs are always yours to export.

Do I have to talk like a starship captain?

Only if you want to. Stardate mode is an optional wink; standard dates and times are the default.

Start logging the good stuff.

Your next trip is worth more than a blurry camera roll. Give it a proper log.
